Youth hoist black flags in South Kashmir Pulwama: Youth on Thursday reportedly hoisted black flags in different localities of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on the eve of India’s Independence Day. Army and paramilitary personnel later removed the flags. Eyewitnesses said that young people hoisted the flags that depicted various anti-India slogans including ‘Go India Go Back’ and ‘We want freedom’. Security forces removed the flags in their routine patrolling in the morning. Meanwhile, a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) an carrying troopers from Pulwama to Pampore after Independence Day celebrations came under attack near Samboora Pampore. Youth present alongside roads pelted stones on the vehicle and damaged its windowpanes, sources said.
