Youve got to remember a few things about the Cosby controversy before you think youre prolific repeating the cliche: All these women, theyre gold diggers! 1.) How many of them are pursuing a money from a civil suit? about 3 out of 20. 2.) Cosby gave one a settlement in 2006 to quiet it. 3.) Name one other celebrity with THIS many accusations? So far I can name: The Catholic Church, Jimmy Saville, R. Kelly who even come close, and their guilt is more than well established. Its not typical to find false allegations in this volume. (See Tupac, Kobe Bryant, they only had 1 or 2 and were highly dubious.) MANY celebrities who are JUST as iconic as Cosby do not experience these types of allegations. Even Michael Jackson still has pretty substantial allegations against him, a couple could even identify the birth marks on Jacksons genitals. 5.) These allegations go back 40 years. Rape victims, especially against powerful perpetrators, the research shows they TYPICALLY wait 30-40 years to report it. *look at the Catholic church. 4.) The victims all are giving explicit details about their experience that are similar. How common would it be that theyre all under the same delusion to have such consistent stories? How likely is it 20 women would conspire with such uniformity? 5.) Jill Scott, one of 2 other celebs who came to his defense, as much as I love her music, isnt the sharpest tool in the shed. She just a few weeks ago posted on Twitter she was confident the term Black Friday came from when slavers sold their slaves for a discount on the day after Thanksgiving. O.o 6.) Cosby, in his mid 40s was routinely involved with college aged girls since he produced that TV show Its A Different World offering to give them acting lessons, private training while often hed had his door guard keep people out of his dressing room meeting with them behind closed doors. This same guard verifies paying women off with money orders and delivering money to 8 different women, some are his accusers. They also have money orders from him to them. Just saying, people could be risking victim shaming here. Not saying a conspiracy against him is impossible but more than a few of these women are educated professionals. To say theyre all just sponges is sort of preposterous. However, I dont know about this latest allegation with the under-aged girl at the Playboy mansion, sounds fishy though.
