Youve heard of prey drive, what about hat drive? Duke has it. :-) After schooling pups, or sprinting them around a track, if you dont have curtains up to catch the dogs they sometimes like to go for another lap. Throwing down a hat is how some trainers distract them long enough to grab a collar so they dont take off again. My boy Frost used to sneak out the curtain at Gulf Greyhound park and take another lap anyway, with no lure and generally in the opposite direction. What a showoff!
