Yukiiee shares: I have a 3 yr old son who contantly bites everything he can get his hands on, including: cans, his shirt (sleeves, the top part of the shirt) , blankets, pillows, plastic bottles, the edges of the bed, etc. He has a sensory deficiency, and its difficult to tranfer his urges to an autism toy. I have bought couple of them and he doesnt like them at all. He used to bite people but he doesnt anymore but he started hitting. Hes still on diapers and he isnt any where close to potty train. He has less than 10 words in his vocabulary but sign language has helped us a lot. He used to say mom and other small words here and there and now he competely stopped. I encourage him to speak to me like before but he doesnt. I call his name more than 10 times before he looks at my direction. My biggest concern, besides talking, is his sensory issue. I cant stop him or prevent him to chew on things. How can I deter his behavior. I tried many alternatives and nothing really seems to work.
