Yummy... today has been my official first Sick day this Winter, slept in till 11am.... went and got my Vitamin D pills and Im loving it, you bounce back quick when you rest and have an awesome immune system! For those out there who have been sick all Winter I promised some of you Id share the tips I learnt to create a more efficient, vibrant immune system so here goes (and obviously forgot to follow my own Winter advice this week ) 1. Stress ad sugar damage your immune system - minimise stress, meditate, exercise, work smart not hard ;-) Dont eat too much sugar! Choose Coconut sugar (healthy & low GI) for baking and/or stevia sweetened chocolate - PM me for more info 2. VITAMIN D CAPSULES!!!! X10capsules -10,000IUD a day!! (Natures Own brand 12bucks at Countdown at the moment (Naturapath got me onto these and has been a Godsend, makes sense we absorb Vitamin D in Summer so we dont get sick - Be very careful that your VD capsules dont have selenium in them however as selenium in high doses can be fatal) 3. Eat ZINC - A handful of cashews or pumpkin seeds every day meets your requirements, beef and lamb have zinc but the above foods have more ;-) 4. Saunas - they kill germs, boost up the immune system 5. Highest sources of Vitamin C - Pineapple & Red capsicum - eat every day 6. Handwashing - religiously, scarves to cover up neck (your most vulnerable body part) 7. Garlic in meals as often as possible ;-) So all of these have kept me well throughout Winter and Ive been loving all the health Ive been experiencing even whilst surrounded by sickos, so if youre having a rough season.. hopefully this will work for you too, most importantly get the Vitamin D ;-) Amy Gillum Kristina Sgibneva Layla BeeThought of you 3
