Yup.. Labor Day has been brought to you by Liberal Progressives who fought to end Child Labor, give us the weekend, establish a 40-hour work week, a minimum wage, required safety regulations, etc. Before the Labor Movement and Unions-- people were forced to live in company towns, paid in company money, that could only be used in company stores, with jobs that were 12 hours long 6 days a week with no safety. Head down to Homestead, PA, and see how up to 10 workers died a week in the steel mills. When they demanded change, Frick hired the Pinkertons to shoot them dead. Where was the invisible hand of the free market then? Hold itself out for the bribes from the robber barons. Never think that corporate captialism can work unless it is regulated by a government. And never trust a government not ot be corupted by corporate capitalism.
