Yup, who remembers the S&L collapse in the 80s and the high level execs who did perp walks? I do....this was in my opinion, the big fail of the Obama administration for NOT prosecuting those bastards who caused the most recent collapse. Too big to fail, too big to jail? Nope. And I dont want to hear someone say, but what message does this send the rest of the financial world if we go after the biggest names on Wall Street? We dont want people to lose trust in us. Thats the problem. People already HAVE lost trust. The message you send to the world is this. We dont tolerate acts of criminality....you break the law, or act unethically, you pay the consequences for it. You dont shift blame onto other people, you dont spin the story to keep the scrutiny off yourself. That is the mindset of an adolescent.
