Yuru is hot new Hawaii-based startup and we are looking to add rockstar talent to our growing team! We are searching for 2 interns to help bring Yuru to the masses. This internship lasts for 3 months. If you’re a driven, passionate, and very social self-starter with a knack for marketing and communications, this is the internship for you. This is an amazing opportunity to learn about and be a key part of growing a company from the ground up. You will work alongside Yuru’s co-founders to develop key marketing strategies, grow the Yuru community and help acquire new users, conduct outreach, generate platform content, and much more! Intern Core Responsibilities: • Produce exciting content and engage with active users • Conduct market research and analysis • Develop and implement marketing and communication strategies for user growth and acquisition • Provide event support and coordination • Create content for social media platforms • Assist in the coordination of social media calendar • Assist with administrative duties as needed Qualifications: • High School Diploma • Some college preferred (with a background in communications or related field) • Must have a laptop • Must have a valid driver’s license • Proficient in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel • Social media savvy • Excellent writing skills with samples to share • Experience working on projects in a fast paced environment • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Strong verbal communications and inter-personal skills About Yuru Yuru is a mobile app that allows you to crowdsource for advice – users are always in control of how they share: ask questions openly or anonymously, and Yurus fun signature categories allow for quick polling and fast feedback. Filters allow you to see answers only from the people you want to hear from (just guys, just girls, a certain age range). Users earn rewards for giving great advice that people love. We have office space at the Blue Startups Headquarters, located at 55 Merchant Street in the Harbor Court Building. You can expect to spend part of your time there, but may also work remotely. Please note that this internship opportunity is currently an un-paid position. Upon successful completion of the 3-month internship, there are opportunities for paid positions in the company.
