Yvonne Cotton will expose her ex-husband Nicks lies on EastEnders next week as she finally tells her son Charlie the truth. Viewers know that Nick (John Altman) was responsible for the horrifying accident that killed Emma Summerhayes and left Ronnie Mitchell in a coma, after he sabotaged the car. Despite this, Phil Mitchell is currently under suspicion for causing the incident, as Yvonne (Pauline McLynn) helped Nick cover up his lies. With Charlie adamant that Phil is to blame for his wife Ronnies critical condition, Nick deliberately fuels his anger by constantly reminding him who is responsible for the accident. When Charlie finds a vengeful Ben smashing up the car lot following tensions with Max, Charlie is unable to contain his rage and punches him. Yvonne is shocked by her sons violent outburst and manages to stop him from going too far by sending a beaten Ben on his way. However, once Ben has gone, a guilty Yvonne lets slip to Charlie that Nick is to blame for the car crash and not Phil, leaving Charlie horrified. As Charlie tries to get his head around his mothers revelations, he quizzes her about how long she has known, forcing Yvonne to lie in order to keep quiet about the part she has played. When Charlie confronts Nick, he is quick to protest his innocence and swears on the babys life that Yvonne is lying. As Nick slowly twists the situation, Yvonne desperately tries to prove that shes telling the truth,
