Duties and Responsibilities Experienced SQL Server DBA /Database Administrator to be responsible for the effective running of the Microsoft SQL Database Services, Server Infrastructure and related technologies company wide, looking to enhance and develop the existing infrastructure to provide a proactive approach to support and the successful implementation of new systems and services. 3. Skills: • Bachelors degree desired. • 3+ years of experience in management, maintenance and administration SQL Server based production database of a large size. • Thorough understanding of SQL Server architecture and the Windows operating systems as it relates to database administration. • Possesses understanding of the application deployment processes and correlation with database administration responsibilities. • Attention to detail, always to be vigilant to rouge attacks and changes on production databases. • Solid experience on SQL Server 2008 at least, comparative knowledge on its latest releases will be an advantage. • Thorough understanding on SQL Server tools and components, including but not limited to:- o SQL Replication o Partitioning o SQL Jobs o SSIS package design and deployment o SSRS report deployment o SQL Server Profiler o Windows Performance Monitor. o SSAS • Experience with backup/restore, code deployment, database/queries/database objects performance tuning. • Proficient with SQL Server client and administrative tools. • Proficient in monitoring, maintaining and optimizing complex T-SQL. • Experience with SQL Server database security administration. • Not desired but knowledge and experience on following will be an added advantage:- o SQL Server Business Intelligence tools and technologies will be an advantage o Database warehouse Skills Required: SQL, Microsoft SQL, Windows, OWL, SAS, Lex, T-SQL abdul.rehman@zintechnologies
