ZOUGLOU (ZUGLU) is a consciousness African musical genre originated from Abidjan , Cote dIvoire ( Ivory Coast)...It was created in the 1990s by the university students on the Abidjan University Campuses as a medium to raise their voice against the way the government was not doing anything or enough to better the situation of the students and all the social layouts of the country...Many Zouglou groups came out...Some of the most popular groups of Zouglou have been Magic System, Petit Yode et Syro, Vieux Gazeur, Petit Dennis,etc... Here is a demonstration of Zouglou by members of different Zouglou squads during a wedding ceremony in Paris, France...
