ZZ Top concert at the Big E cancelled WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Continuing problems from bass player Dusty Hill’s hip injury have caused the cancellation of ZZ Top’s headlining show at the Big E. On their official Facebook page, fair officials posted Wednesday morning that “recent developments in the severity of Hill’s injury have forced the cancellation.” The show was scheduled for September 26. All tickets that have been purchased will be refunded in full, the fair says. Hill injured his hip in August when he fell down while on the band’s tour bus. The Big E says that their show was originally not expected to be impacted, as ZZ Top had initially cancelled shows only through September 13.
