Zahid Imroz Famous for intense, bold, emotionally charged and powerful poetic expression, Zahid Imroz has started his literary career in 2006 as a poet. His first collection of poems khudkushi kay mosam mein(In the season of suicide) has published in 2009. He also writes on literary and social issues. Currently he is editing a book on global security and also working on two literary books, Majeed Amjad-ahd e hazir ka shaer and nasri nazm kay takhleeki imkaanat. His work publishes in various literary journals. He is a translator too and translated English, Japanese, French, Norwegian, Spanish, and Chinese poetry into Urdu through English. He is founder and co-editor of a renowned literary journal Niqaat since 2006. He is member of two international groups Union of concerned scientists (UCS) and Young scientists cooperation for Peace-SCooP. His poems have been translated in English, Gurmukhi, Sindhi and Punjabi. He was awarded with National Youth award for literature 2009 from Ministry of Youth affairs. Currently he is doing Mphil in Physics from Quaid-i-azam University. He is single and lives in Islamabad.The founder and co-editor of Niqaat a literary journal, has been a student of science but his natural instinct to write poetry has made him one of the most popular poets of this generation.
