(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian regimes armed forces in Qalamoun Mountains have made some tactic withdrawals to reinforce the southern front of Damascus amid cancers of imminent offensive by rebels and Islamist Jihadists, Zaman Al Wasl reporter said. Local activists of Flita and Ras al-Ma’rah in Qalamoun said regime army has moved tanks and vehicles based in their area to Damascus. Months ago, Basher al-Assad’s forces backed by Lebanese Hezbollah militia had captured most of Qalamoun towns, including Yabroud and Nabk. The deteriorating morale of Assad’s soldiers in southern battlefields has pushed army officials to back the grueling troops by immediate reinforcements to halt the rapid advances by al-Qaeda-affiliated group Nusra Front near Occupied Golan Heights. Islamist armed Islamist groups have become the most powerful force in the three-year-old uprising against Assad, who has long portrayed himself as the defender of a secular order in Syria as the death toll exceeded 191,000.
