Zambian soccer fans urged to massively support Nkana Lusaka, March 20, ZANIS---Soccer fans In Zambia have been urged to turn up in big numbers and support Nkana Football Club in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) champions’ league game against Zamalek this weekend. Chipolopolo Soccer Fans Association president Yotam Mwanza has called on soccer fans in the country to ensure they fill Nkana stadium to capacity and inspire Nkana to beat Zamalek. In a telephone interview with ZANIS Sports in Lusaka today, Mwanza however said although Zamalek is not a push over, he was optimistic that Nkana will win. Mwanza has since expressed confidence in the Nkana technical bench led by Coach Masauso Mwale saying they have all what it takes to secure a victory in this weekend continental encounter. Meanwhile, Mwanza has expressed happiness with the big attendance of soccer fans at the FAZ/MTN super league games. Nkana takes on the Egyptian giants Zamalek at Nkana stadium in Kitwe this weekend in the third round first leg of the CAF champions’ league. Mwanza said the huge turnout of fans at local league games is an indication that the Zambian super league is gaining momentum and urged the soccer fans to continue doing the same. He added that the continuous turn out of fans at local league games will also help teams to raise more revenue and sustain themselves financially. And Zambias other envoys in the CAF confederation cup, Zesco United have left for Ghana to take on Edeama. Coach George Lwandamina yesterday unveiled a list of 18 players to face Edeama this coming Sunday in the third round first leg encounter of the confederation cup. ZANIS/ENDS/TN/KSH...............DRY
