Zasedanje Parlamentarne skupščine Sveta Evrope, 24. – 28. junij 2013 / Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, 24 – 28 June 2013 Strasbourg – med 24. in 28. junijem 2013 bo potekalo poletno zasedanje Parlamentarne skupščine Sveta Evrope. Skupščino bo nagovoril Edward Nalbandian, zunanji minister Armenije, trenutni predsedujoči Odboru ministrov Sveta Evrope. Poslanci bodo med drugim obravnavali situacijo na Bližnjem vzhodu, razpravljali o korupciji kot grožnji pravni državi ter kako se učinkovito boriti proti prisilnim praksam sterilizacije in kastracije. Skupščina bo obravnavala poročilo o statusu Maroka v okviru »Partnerstva za demokracijo« ter izvolila sodnike Evropskega sodišča za človekove pravice za Islandijo, Litvo in Slovaško. Spomladanskega dela zasedanja Parlamentarne skupščine se bo udeležila tudi delegacija Državnega zbora Republike Slovenije, ki bo v čast 20. obletnice članstva Slovenije otvorila razstavo ITF (Fundacija za krepitev človekove varnosti) in gostila sprejem, ki bo v torek, 25. junija 2013 ob 13h v Palači Sveta Evrope. Otvoritve razstave se bo udeležil tudi Dorjan Maršič, direktor ITF. Minister Edward Nalbandian will present the communication from the Committee of Ministers to the Parliamentary Assembly. This session’s topics for debate include the situation in the Middle East, corruption as a threat to the rule of law and putting an end to coerced sterilizations and castrations. The parliamentarians will also discuss a report evaluating the Parliament of Morocco’s ‘Partnership for democracy’ with the Assembly and elect judges to the European Court of Human Rights in respect of Iceland, Lithuania and the Slovak Republic. A delegation from the Slovenian Parliament to the Parliamentary Assembly is organizing a reception on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Slovenia joining the Council of Europe and will inaugurate the exhibition ITF (International Trust Fund) – Enhancing Human Security, Persistent Mission for a Safer World on Tuesday, 25 June 2013 at 1 p.m. in the Lobby of the Chamber of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
