Zen Big Question: What is Truth of the experience in this moment? - TopicsExpress

Zen Big Question: What is Truth of the experience in this moment? From a dualistic perspective we might say This is outside and I am just seeing this. But Big Question is only concerned with interdependent relationships so This and I are one experience. The thinking mind makes distinctions for example My hands typing this and my body sitting in this chair in my apartment, the hum of my computer, the smell of Hashbrown and egg in the air and remnants of breakfast in my mouth, the cool air from the open terrace door, but all of these are one. Just as one moment is infinite Kalpa- (Sanskrit: Infinitely Long Period of Time ) one thing is infinite things. These are difficult to perceive because our conventional indoctrination is stuck in distinctions of I and You, This and that which all come from mind, so what is mind? Be a lamp unto yourselves. 22. Now, therefore, I am known to ye by my name Nuit, and to him by a secret name which I will give him when at last he knoweth me. Since I am Infinite Space, and the Infinite Stars thereof, do ye also thus. Bind nothing! Let there be no difference made among you between any one thing & any other thing; for thereby there cometh hurt. Liber AL vel Legis: Chapter I:22
