Zevs Lunch Dinner Today....actually all he will eat all day today Eating a VERY HIGH FAT diet brings total SATIETY: sa·ti·ety noun \sə-ˈtī-ə-tē also ˈsā-sh(ē-)ə-\ : a feeling or condition of being full after eating food My husband is 6 foot, now 167 lbs (was 175) and has diabetes since Sept 28th that we know of......obviously he had it prior and we did not know until we started home testing with a glucose meter!! You have to understand at this point, he is keto-adapted...meaning he is burning ketones for fuel for his body to run on. He can handle a little more protein and a little more carbs than me. He has a moderately physical job but not heavy like construction worker. EVERY BODY IS DIFFERENT! You wont really know until you test, do without foods and slowly add foods back in!! His food for a WHOLE DAY! Menu today: Bullet proof coffee with heavy whipping cream and canned (3 ingredient only Goya brand from Walmart) coconut milk. About 2 tablespoons total in his half caff coffee. 2 hard boiled eggs = 8 g Fat 12 g Protein 1/2 C Cottage cheese, whole milk = 7 g Fat 12 g Protein and 3 carbs (YIKES!! Thats why I can NOT tolerate cottage cheese! Too many carbs from milk sugar! Real cheese, harder cheese than cottage, is almost all fat.) 4 oz beef, = about 30 g Protein and 8 g Fat ( this also has 1 tablespoon butter and a big dolop of fermented garlic. The above grams are for the meat only. His fat intake is upped by the butter!) 3/4 cup Pimiento Cheese salad = Im not sure, I will need to work it out on an online calculator but here are the ingredients for a WHOLE RECIPE, not what he took this morning! He only got 3/4 cup: 4-5 hard boiled eggs chopped, shredded cheddar (maybe 2 cups? This is almost all fat), 2 large jars of diced pimientos (drained), diced fresh onions, diced fresh celery, and then my home made mayo to blend it all. Its very high fat. Celery sticks (to dip into the pimiento cheese salad) Cucumber slices Small handful of pecans and walnuts = high fat snack! 1 piece cinnamon cake made with almond flour and flax seed meal and Natural Mate sweetener, heavy cream and butter, with butter/cream cheese and pecan icing, again, high fat. Plus good fiber!! I salt everything and we drink LOADS of water!! Its essential on a keto lifestyle! ((There is NO way I could or would eat this much food in a day!!! My daily food in take looks much different!!))
