Zig-zag -JM I should have zigged instead of zagged Should have...could have The hell with it, one more drag. I gaze into the mystery ball And watch the seasons change Spring...to fall... And still here I am caught in it all Just caught in it all. Perfection is never a goal, at least it shouldnt be But you can try and try getting back up after getting knocked down This is something even the blind can see. But here is something only the strong can break Something that looks like glass Only can bend and twist and shake You can hold it closely and loosely and although lighter then a feather it will not fly Any clue? And dream? Any ponderance as to the reason why? Its because its something more dense then space Something that has no sense Being locked without a trace It rhymes with toll And coal And a monumental sized bowl Starts with s and slither is what it does. Any clue? Still not an idea The word is soul. A soul cannot speak in the most perfect of ways A souls amount cannot be payed in riches or gold or any other ways For a soul is a maze It has beginnings and ends to which the rest of the world falls short on. It tests the very inner It tests the very outer of man And prevail, it often can The soul is what we place inside of us to bring us life And with that life comes strife And tension that in some situations could be cut with a knife Our soul is what makes us who we are The chances the pain and all of our scares ....this madman is driving behind this endless stream...a stream that once was a dream cut and frayed from seam to seam And what does soul bring into our being Heartbreak and love and affection things that only are souls are capable of seeing For in this instance and this one alone I was in the middle of the wreck unable to pick up a phone and say to my very best friend without a minimal moan I should have zigged. Instead of zagged
