Zionism and Israel at Their Best: As the Norm with Joshua Storming the Walls of Jericho To an Arab; to a Palestinian; to a savvy Human rights’ activist, the most gruesome massacre, pogrom, atrocity, act of genocide committed by the Israeli armed forces yesterday, in cold blood, on the helpless Palestinian civilian population of Al-Shuja’ya neighborhood, district of Gaza, with more than 60 people killed and close to 250 wounded in ONE GO, is a repetition, the NORM, a Deja Vue series of a long history, a long established pattern of Israeli behavior targeting helpless civilian populations. It is in the Very Nature of the Beast of what Israel & Zionism truly are at their Very Best. The horrible pictures shown on live TV and stories told of civilian corpses and cadavers of mostly women, children and the elderly found strewn on alleys, sidewalks, the stairways of buildings serving as makeshift refuge from spreading Israeli bombs, speak mountains of the very truth of the utter racism, inhumanity and hatred that is deeply ensconced in the mind, the heart and the soul of a Jewish Zionist. These acts of genocide that are reminiscent of atrocities one witnessed some time ago in Rwanda are the reflection of a true reality of a culturally instilled, the brainwashed mind of psychopaths, sick minds inculcated and spoon fed, day-in day-out, with hatred, virtues of exclusion and the dehumanization of the other. That in essence is the very truth of the making of a Zionist mind that’s only compounded with Orthodox Religious teachings bent on the demonization and the negation of the humanity and the relevance of the other. With a none negligible percentage of the IDF’s (Israeli armed forces) recruits come from among religious zealot settlers and the electorate of mostly ex-Soviet Union immigrants followers of hate mongering Israeli deputy prime minister Avigdor Lieberman who are reared with inculcated versions of the Torah exalting and extolling the great virtues of Biblical instructs and Joshua’s ideals of exclusion and the dehumanization of the others, one realizes to what degree the desensitized mindset of an enlisted Israeli army recruit is prone to treating innocent victims as mere numbers of no significance (Please refer to my article entitled “The Illusion of Peace: The Predicament of Jewish Exclusivism,” February 10, 2004, herewith attached). Thus, with the cited verses below of the Torah that are hammered day –in day-out in the mind of an Israeli army recruit since his/her fledgling infancy, reciting: Then ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their pictures, and destroy all their molten images, and quite pluck down all their high places: And ye shall dispossess the inhabitants of the land, and dwell therein: for I have given you the land to possess it Numbers 33:52 53 AND, And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, and ox, and sheep, and ass, with the edge of the sword. Joshua 6:21 Renders an Israeli army recruit prone to the readily resort to violence and brutality finding explanation in the truth that one finds in the above professed phrases. That is the indelible truth, not in the least an exaggerated figure of speech when consulting with well-established and well-recorded historic facts of a recurring long string of told stories of gross atrocities and human rights violations committed intentionally and most casually, with near total impunity, by the Zionist Israelis in dealing with their adversaries. Al-Shuja’ya pogrom is another new atrocity to add to a long list of massacres committed by the Israeli regular Israeli army. In support of this statement, one can easily consult google on the examples of massacres committed by the Israelis starting by such examples such as: • The YEHIDA MASSACRE; • The KHISAS MASSACRE; • The QAZAZA MASSACRE; • The AL-SHEIKH VILLAGE MASSACRE; • The Qibya Massacre; • The Deir Yassin massacre; • The Kafr Qasim Massacre; • The AL-SAMMOU MASSACRE; • The Bahr el-Baqar Massacre; • THE SABRA AND SHATILA MASSACRE; • The OYON QARA MASSACRE (RISHON LEZION AL-AQSA MOSQUE MASSACRE); • THE IBRAHIMI MOSQUE MASSACRE; • THE JABALIA MASSACRE; and, • The ERETZ CHECKPOINT MASSACRE. What an impressive list that’s not exhaustive, neither all that inclusive leaving innumerable other incidents and other details that one can easily reference! However, all the above not counting the real top-up of it all, the Palestinian Nakba, the Palestinian catastrophe of 1948 causing the flight of half of the Palestinian population; the demolition of their villages and the expropriation of their belongings and properties. A tragic fact of the largest historic proportions that one of the instrumental founders of Israel, first President of Israel, Chaim Weismann found it appropriate at the time to term that tragedy as “The Miraculous Simplification of Israel’s Tasks;” (Please refer to Israeli New Historian Ilan Pappé’s book “The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine,” published in 2006). This, undoubtedly, gives one a long pause reflecting over the unending western powers’ bias and double-stand policies as the originators of the Palestinian continuing tragedy, the creators of Israel who continue to unconditionally and blindly support the Zionist state despite its continuing violation of the International Law and the flagrant gross abuse of human rights. Ironically, and as undignified American Congress most shamefully unanimously stands behind Israel’s new genocide war on Gaza, the US blocked - using veto at the UN Security Council – UN resolutions justifying the censoring and applying sanctions on Israel with the US acting in defiance of the consensus of most of the world community. In this regard, the US invoked 43 vetoes larger than all the vetoes ever applied at the UN Security Council in all the Council’s history. In conclusion, with the examples cited above and the continuing genocide war on the destitute Gazans, Spartan Israel is not a neighbor that the Arabs could ever trust, feel secure and can ever tolerate as is. As with regard to the hypocrisy and double-standard of the West, foremost the US, one only wonders with conservative Arab regimes frequently boasting of their privileged relations with the US & the UK that with such friends one for sure needs no enemies.
