Zippy and Zena were two of our zebras that belonged on Sherrod Farms in Oneonta, Alabama. There were both shot and killed sometime between February 20 late evening or February 21st. They were found dead Saturday, February 22nd morning by my brother, Quint Sherrod. These zebras were very accustomed to people as my family and friends and residents of Oneonta payed visits to admire and visit our furry friends. Whomever the sick individual that killed them probably shot them as they were walking towards them, as they were quite friendly. These poor babies also suffered a great deal as their wounds from the bullets were in areas where their death was certainly not immediate. They died only about 10 feet from each other. There have been other incidents of similar instances in areas not far from our farm, the individual/s that committed this brutal and disgusting crime should certainly by convicted for this inhumane crime. Please help by inviting others and liking this page so that we can have a better shot of someone giving any information!
