Zohra Nasir is a 2012 Teach for Pakistan fellow who works at a Karachi government school. When asked to reflect on her experience, Nasir told the story of particularly precocious student. This student stayed for hours after school and asked her teacher in-depth questions about the days lessons. Given this students obvious brilliance, Nasir simply couldnt envision her becoming a victim of child marriage. Unfortunately, many bright students do not reach their potentials because of early marriage. Nasir hopes that her continued efforts will eventually allow her to say, That won’t happen.
