Zombies in dreams (always neat topic). bit.ly/1l3s8ho -- writer asks a great question: It would be interesting to know if dreamers from the 19th century even had dreams about zombies or apocalyptic disasters. Is this type of dream archetypal, or a just a recent cultural phenomenon stimulated by modern books and movies? Are zombies appearing in my dreams because I am all of sudden bombarded with waking life imagery (movies, games, books) on the topic? Hmmmm, perhaps the phenomena (both in waking life and appearance in dreams) is reflection on our current society (like taking a pulse of whats going on as a whole with us) or the new generation growing up in it? Nice research on a small sample of those submitting dreams on this one particular dream site. 121 submission of those who actually took the time to input the dream (to me says for every 1 submission, there are 12 who wont take the time [and a good measure anytime you get comments/submissions anywhere online]). Perhaps there is an overall feeling right now that things are out of ones control, overwhelming, people/things around done in disconnect with feeling/emotion? And unlike UFOs (which started to appear in 50s fiction, radio and tv) perhaps we are afraid to turn into that which we are not. What are we wanting to avoid or on some level want to escape from?
