**** Zory Update ***** (now with a Tigri theme too!) Many of you had seen our previous posts about the Darling Zory, a street cat in Romania who suffered horrific injuries from, possibly a car accident... we have followed his story and have offered him a foster place here at Paws & Mittens from the start. Many of you have donated along the way (we cant thank you enough) and his wonderful rescue Mom Adda has worked miracles to get him in a position that he can now travel to us, hopefully, at the end of this month. Zory suffered many many injuries, including many broken bones, including his Mandiable (his Jaw) which is now half missing. Zory needs a lot of rehabilitation time to trust humans fully again and until he is ready for adoption and a forever home. Rewind to around a week after Adda found Zory, another of her treasured street cats, she fed and looked after regulary, again was lost and turned up, calling for her, in a terrible state. Tigri. A fate so similar to Zory, Tigris mouth was broken, along with a rib and massive damage to one of his testicles. Tigri was rushed straight into the vets by Adda, and it was soon apparent, that on top of this, Tigri had too also lost the sight in one of his eyes. Tigri and Zory have been in the wonderful care of Adda all this time, vets bills only being covered by generous donations. In the last few weeks, both have been allowed out of the vet centre and into the safe house of Adda whilst they prepare for travel, to a safe, new future. But, Tigri had yet to secure a foster placement.... After lots of chats with Adda and seeing how beautifully both Zory and Tigri get along in care, of course it makes sense they come here together, after such a similar and long journey together, with the view they can stay here, have as much time, patience and love that they need, so that soon, (or however long it takes), they can find a forever, safe, home, together, We hope to welcome Tigri and Zory with us in the next few weeks. We have their travel bills to find (£320), but we are hopeful we can raise this for the precious boys. So, sorry for the delay in the update for Zory fans and supporters, but he is doing so so well, and we hope you can al help us welcome him and Tigri to Paws & Mittens when they arrive. Two very special and beautiful boys... with a second chance at life
