______Rashid flays Kashmir CM, asks him not to create confusion____ Awami Itihad Party chairman Engineer Abdul Rashid Saturday flayed chief ministerOmar Abdullah over his remark that his recently launched political party ‘was a New Delhi policy to divide Kashmir people’. The chief minister had also claimed that Rashid was a result of the failures of his ruling National Conference. Rashid, in a statement issuedto the press, said: “Instead of chief minister creating doubts in the minds of people, he should pass truth and facts to the people of hisstate.” The Member Legislative Assembly from north Kashmir’s Langate, said, “Neither the National Conference’s failure or any other power has helped him to enter the Kashmir legislative assembly. But it is the respectable people of hisconstituency who chose him with a massive mandate.” While addressing his party workers in central Kashmir’s Khan Sahib, the fiery lawmaker, said: “Even if there was truth to Omar’s claims, it was a matter of shame for the oldest party inJammu and Kashmir.” He said that people of the state have understood the unflinching support of the Langet citizens and in coming elections Omar’s National Conference would have to repent for the innumerable mistakes that it has committed. “Omar should start to pack his bags,” he said. On Omar’s claims that AIP was a product of New Delhi’s policy, he said: “The chief minister instead of making statements should make public each and every detail of New Delhi’s nefarious designs and help his nation.” He said since he was elected to the state assembly he haspleaded both the NC and Peoples Democratic Party to join hands for the good of Kashmir nation. “But both theparties want power and havetherefore never taken my suggestion seriously.” He said, in 2010, he wrote to both Omar and PDP presidentMehbooba Mufti to seek unification for the sake of nation. “I knocked their doors but they remain unmoved and only indulge in rhetoric. The people of Kashmir know their politics and in the coming elections they would be exposed,” thelawmaker said
