My reading of late, while I believe to be along the lines of my thinking: Gustave Le Bon, The Crowd: A Study of the Popular Mind; and re-reading F. A. Hayek, The Road to Serfdom—which all got me to thinking about 49 BC and the Rubicon and Ceasar’s infamous tout, “…alea iacta est….” which then led me to “discrimen”--aaauuuughhhhhhh! So I turned my attention to a couple of “root vegetable” writers, Natalia Ginzburg, He and I and a poem by Elizabeth Bishop, Sestina (thank you Meg for the reminder). And so, all of this got me to thinking about Vegetable Lasagna —go figger! Wednesday January 29 Pasta Night: Four layers, four different vegetables with Mozzarella, Ricotta, Parmesan/Reggiano.
