a 200 kg stone rises when 11 guys utter the name of a so-called saint. Really? - Imaam Ibn Taimiyyahs explaination of such acts. The so-called miracle: There is a dargah in India which is famous for a stone lifting miracle. It goes like this, 11 men surround a stone, place their index fingers below it and utter the name of a so-called saint in unison while lifting the stone. It seems that the stone goes up easily in this way. But when the amount of men are increased/decreased, when they use other/multiple fingers, utter some other name, etc. the miracle doesnt happen. It has to be 11 guys lifting the stone with their index finger and uttering the name. Well, Dajjal will do far greater miracles than this one, so those people with even some basic understanding of tawheed, shirk, the jinn, black magic, etc. will not be impressed by this. Imaam ibn Taimiyyah writes about such so-called miracles in his essay on the Jinns and demons as follows... If a mans soul goes bad, his nature will then desire what is harmful and he will take pleasure in corruption and love it dearly. As a result, the character, health and wealth of such a man will also become corrupted and destroyed. Satan is himself vile, so if one seeks to gain his favour through the things which he loves, like incantations, oaths, books on spiritualism and magic, disbelief and idolatry, etc., he will fulfil some of the persons desires. Sacrilegious acts are like a bribe to Satan. It is similar to the case wherein a man may give another money to kill someone he wishes killed or to help him in performing some obscene act. Consequently, much of these amulets have Quranic verses written in impurities like blood, etc., or some Quranic words written backwards, or other things which please the devil may be written or spoken over them. When that which pleases the devil is written or spoken by men, he may help them attain some of their desires (in order that the man may continue to do such acts of disbelief and encourage others to join him in his success), .......like removing large quantities of water from some place, OR CARRYING THEM IN THE AIR to other places, or bringing them wealth stolen from the treacherous and those who do not mention Allahs name on their wealth, etc. I know of so many specific cases which have occurred with regards to all the previous incidents mentioned above that it would take too long to mention them — for such cases are innumerable.
