a BIG thank you to Uncle Seth McKennon who loves my kids completely. Seth dropped everything at 10pm on a Holiday night out with friends and raced over to my house to sit here by himself for hours so that Amanda could take his car and join me at the hospital until the early hours of the morning yesterday as the first round of Jameis test results started to come in (even though he had commitments for early the next morning already set). Seth has been a great friend of mine since we were in preschool together, he is a part of a core group of friends that I have been extremely close with my entire life. His parents treat me as family and to me they are my Aunt Ruth (Ruth Elaine McKennon) and Uncle Fred, I have never called them anything other than my Aunt and Uncle. I loved his sister until we lost her almost 14 years ago (she even let me take her to her Senior Banquet as an underclassman, and then reprimanded me strongly for not pulling out her chair for her to sit down, haha ;)..the banquet was the missionary version of Prom Night). Seth and I are now running all our businesses together as partners, and we are about to head out on another adventure to my First ever World Cup!!! He relishes the role of uncle Seth..even bringing me to tears when he flew 6 hours to surprise me at my daughters birth in 2012 because he wouldnt miss it for the world. Amanda Thiessen Barkey and I appreciate and Love uncle Seth, and thank God for giving us good friends in difficult times!
