a Few thoughts on todays events: 1. John Elway gave these coaches every tool imaginable to get back to the Super Bowl. When they failed to do that it was time to make a change. I applaud Elway for his attitude Super Bowl or Bust and moving swiftly to make the change. 2. Im never crazy about guys who interview for jobs when the season is still under way. I consider it a total lack of loyalty and, in my mind, a fireable offense. Thats just me. 3. Mannings quad injury certainly explains a lot. 4. a BIG NO on Mike Shanahan. Not sure the Elway-Shanahan relationship has been very fuzzy since Shanahan practically pushed Elway out the door in 1999. Besides, Im not sure Shanny can relate to the kids today. 5. Im not sold on this Gary Kubiak idea either. I like Gary a lot. Hes a really good guy. But so was John Fox. Honestly the Broncos need a guy like John Gruden (not gonna happen, he just signed a big broadcast extension) or a Bill Cowher (who just lost his wife to cancer. So that aint gonna happen either.) They need a guy with an attitude. A guy who actually gets upset when he loses. The problem I always had with John Fox is that he didnt seem to care whether the Broncos won or lost. He got paid either way.
