a. I find it self-evident that our species should make decisions based on reality. As such, we should seek to maximize our understanding of reality in order to make the best decisions possible. b. In order to maximize our understanding of reality we must focus the whole of our effort toward exploration of the universe and scientific verification of unanswered questions like “What lies beyond the edge of the universe?” There are answers to these questions. Focusing the whole of our effort would consist of: (1) Convincing individuals that we do not have a maximum understanding of reality but can gain understanding through exploration and science (i.e. to admit that we do not have the answers to questions like What lies beyond the edge of the universe? but can get them). (2) Ensuring all humans understand that their efforts are not only of value to their comfort and survival but of value to the primary goal (e.g. the small restaurant owner knows the meals he provides support those on the front lines of science and exploration). (3) Maximizing our time of existence as a species (e.g. ensuring habitable environments, minimizing energy spent on basic survival needs for as many people as possible, etc.)
