a cause for worry dear All, my cousin a catholic priest, called me very early this morning with some alarming news we shouldnt take for granted. As you are aware, all the fishing communities dotted along the coast of Liberia are made up of ghanaians. They have started arriving home by sea in droves. One of the fisherfolk who arrived yesterday died from ebola-like symptoms in komenda. The returnees are landing in their hometowns - senya bereku, awutu, winneba,gomoa fete, nyanyano, edina, shama, komenda, saltpond to name a few. They are not reporting at health posts to check whether they have contracted the virus. I am calling everyone I know who can help. The disease control unit is being alerted to send people down to these villages immediately. Let us take care of ourselves..
