a couple years ago...I went into the foot of the Appalachian Mountains along the OIHO boarder......It was Christmas Day...I will never forget it for all of my life...I met a woman that was genuinely trying...involved with a local shelter that was abusive..and collected money from the state..yet would kill the dogs...she took them in...to the point that it was like a hoarding situation..yet,...it wasnt...she was just overwhelmed by her need to help..and with the continued abuse by her local OHIO shelter that could make the money off the dogs..and not deal with them...that Christmas day...we pulled 21 dogs our to safety...and a cat...vetted them,...found them homes or rescues...and they are all safely in homes today...as I was driving my Hummer full of dogs...this song came on the radio...CeCe Winans, I will never ever forget as long as I live...as we were pulling out., looking into the mirror in my Hummer and seeing Jessica...a momma with her 6 babies (oh I had tons of dogs in my Hummer...but, she stood out...I saw her in the mirror...she was assuring her babies,..that they would be ok...what a good Momma...Even as sure as she was to her babies..I saw the fright in her eyes..I will never forget that look in her eyes...ever..I couldnt stop my tears...and here it is years later...yet when remembering..it is like yesterday.....
