a friend of mine posted this about google+ vs FB... its soooo true. get real, people: Google+ gets hate, but what I like is that it isnt really pure social and thats a good thing, rather mostly a sharing platform where you can learn about the latest Node.js framework, Neon Indian album, sensationalist/trivial AI advances, or just gadget shilling. Our lives are far from perfect, and sometimes they may be beyond amazing, or beyond tragic (scars are necessary and should be embraced). Some of us may live in what we consider the center of the world (thats Manhattan, not you, Brooklyn), but the truth is, no one cares..which is why I cant get my head around Facebook psychology, save as a platform to promote your latest start-up (which is also questionable: youtu.be/oVfHeWTKjag). I notice so many people ruining their Michelin starred dinners taking useless photos of themselves for what I suspect is showing off on FB. Im not going to tell you to delete your profile, but the only person you have to convince you’re alive is yourself, so embrace your non-digital beta patheticness (and enjoy your food)...no one is really listening;)
