a live broadcast in case you’re wondering I’m standing on the back porch of my pops’ place - typed a few thousand words today (mostly bad, perhaps a decent line or two, if I may...) and went at the bottle pretty good while typing, did a few exercises for the ring girls as I hooked into into a live broadcast from Brazil of 6 3-round bouts, 5 of which ended within two minutes and often to the devastation of the home crowd. I flicked off the T.V. and shuffled to my bedroom (filled with percolating carboys of dark wine and cider), lied down in bed and read a couple dozen poems by The Great Modern Poets (mostly bad, perhaps a few decent lines, if I may say...) but still I am young and still I stand on on that dreary porch and like the wind and like the bare winter-ready trees am adorned only with a cool, nonchalant rain.
