a mostly true story................ok some what true My wife tried to kill me tonight, shes a smart woman and has an ironclad alibi ...shes at work and there are cameras all over the place. After 30 plus years of marriage I cant blame her I kinda even empathise with her. The genus of the plot isnt the alibi its the years of planning the unnoticeable bits of the puzzle that needed to be in place. When she started moving her stuff in years ago the murder weapon was amongst the bric a brac tossed in a drawer without a thought ( In retrospect that sweet smile I mistook for affection was more a smile of misdirection as her scheme was initiated ). The ice cube trays in the freezer have been getting rock hard much quicker the past couple of days, unfortunately I only realized that after what has become to be referred to as the incident Did she turn up the freezer a digit or two ? We have three ice cream scoopers I should have wondered why two were dirty but the ice cream sat unopened....ahhh the luxury of afterthought. She even had my complete cooperation, observing me for years choosing what character quirks she could use in the assassination attempt. It almost worked but she forgot about the age factor so when I tried to scoop out the ice cream with the only clean scooper ...the plastic one , and I pulled and twisted , grunted, cussed and growled ( as she knew I would , being a bit on the stubborn side ) SNAP and the scoop was broken , the sharp edge propelled by momentum cut through my shirt and into my chest. Thats were age factors in ...Im not as strong as I used to be and what could have been death at my own hand is an itty bitty barely visible puncture under my right nipple. Clever woman that one,,,,Ill be more vigilant in the future.
