a share from a friend.. I love this stuff.. when I was at Utah State (GO AGGIES!) I had a friend named Todd who was Tongan and he and his fellow Tongan students had a dance group much like this.. theirs included staffs and such... super cool to watch.. Ive always been fascinated with Island cultures.. and in fact.. Ive always wanted the chin tattoos that you see on the women here.. generally, these women are quite young to wear these.. they are generally a symbol of the crone ..the grown woman.. past child bearing.. you have to be a mother to have one and most wait until they are menopausal to get theirs.. Ive always been into right of passage tattoos and I would LOVE an island culture represented on my vessel.. but I want a Hawaiin style tat put on in the Hawaiin tradition .. with a blade rather than a needle..
