a song for a rainy Anything Goes Saturday from singer/songwriter & Jersey boy Eddie Rabbit...a high school drop-out from East Orange NJ, Eddie set out to Nashville as a teenager & became an award-winning songwriter for other artists (including Elvis--Kentucky Rain) before later going on to become a star in his own right. Previous to this, some of Eddies jobs before making it big included being a soda jerk, fruit-picker, mental health attendant & last but not least big rig truck driver which inspired this 1980 hit as he progressed to having a slew of other chart-toppers..putting him on the map as a highly-regarded country/pop crossover artist & performer until his death from lung cancer in May of 1998 at 56 years old. RIP ER
