a truly interesting read...my opinion of MMT (Modern Monetary Theory) is though I do believe it is an accurate representation of Money...that money is a Government creation, and is spent into existence and removed via taxation (though MMT underestimates the power of the Banking in the current era in increasing the money supply) the shots across Marxs bow are foolish, to underestimate the control of the State by the dominant social and economic (Super Structure) powers in creating/crafting Capitol and ends it is to be spent into existence is wrong...Yes the State creates Money, and therefore Capitalism yet to view it as an independent abstraction and not captured by what we euphemistically call Rich I prefer Power ...but Ill play, is Folly...the secondary shot that Marx got the Politics wrong..e again? what Politics he got wrong Feudal Europe? Ancient Rome or Greece, the Conquest of the New World? the Minutia he lived under? what politics? (cheap shot you are mistaken Marx for a Prescriptive Philosopher not the Empirical Descriptive guy he was...the We Will Bury You of triumphant socialism was a lot of Agit Prop...and as Marxist will tell ya History Hasnt Ended, that was Hegels bag of Tricks, Marx bought into the most of the Enlightenment, but doubt the Historian in him bought into that) I do wish that society had a better grasp of what is occurring with regards to Money and a more accurate understanding of what it is...and then maybe the author is correct it would aid Humanity in fixing the Environment..But....for the record I think the establishment since Nixon has been on board with MMT, just they wish to use the politics of the old concepts of Money(Zero Sum Game) because it serves the Powerful/Rich/Super Structure ...Humanity Never has enough money to Feed Clothe House or Educate all...but Always Enough For Wars and Empires nakedcapitalism/2014/11/michael-hoexter-naomi-kleins-hard-money-ideas-undermine-laudable-climate-action-goals.html
