a volunteer writes: After reading Missys medical notes, you may have to take a breath and compose yourself. This seven year old angel was brought into the Brooklyn Center in horrible shape. Missy came in with Skylar (who is now safe) and Piper. She has a large abscess on her thigh, lameness in her other leg, emaciated, dehydrated and her coat was soaked in urine. For Missy, perhaps landing in a kill shelter was a good thing because she is no longer being hidden from people who can help her. Missy has led a hellish existence for two years now. She has a chance or making it out of the shelter alive and getting the love, nourishment and care that has been missing from her life. But...only if she finds a place to go. Please help Missy have her happy ending. She is long overdue for one.
