a volunteer writes: Three-year-old Hunter has a surprisingly painful rash about his neck area, sort of like humans acquire a painful shingles rash. So, it’s hardly a wonder that Hunter protested to being pulled out of his kennel via a rope around his neck. He growled and didn’t want to be touched. Later, he was cordial while eating and even when meeting a strange dog. He likes strangers, children, other dogs, and possibly even cats. But, the assessor refused to forgive that growl and labeled Hunter a New Hope Only adoption. Hunter’s neck is infected and needs veterinary care, but instead of assistance, the shelter has decided to kill him tomorrow. What can we say about this good boy to make people understand how precious and special he is? He has not been well cared for, even spending hours daily in an outdoor crate... Every one of us needs to advocate for Hunter tonight. https://facebook/photo.php?fbid=690234894322726&set=a.611290788883804.1073741851.152876678058553&type=3&permPage=1
