a year ago today Alex was home sick and Ella was just getting over a bad cold. Around this time I went to kiss my nonna good-night and I didnt think she looked well. I went to call my mom, but she grabbed my hand and told me she was fine. I had not let Ella or Alex get too close to her for a few day because I didnt want her catching what they had but something told me that night that it was K if they kissed her good-night. I took Ella out of her bed because she was already falling asleep and told Alex to go to nonnas room and kiss her. Alex had been worried all day because nonna wasnt eating or drinking anything. We stayed with her a few minutes but Alex went back to his room worried because she still wasnt eating. Ella was awake by now in her bed, jumping on her, touching her white hair and kissing her. I decided I would take a picture of them. A few minutes after I had Ella in bed my mom called Alex to go see how nonna was finally eating applesauce. Alex smiled at her and gave her thumbs up, she just looked at him and smiled. Im not really sure what made me take the kids to her room that night. I like to believe it was my grandpa because he knew he was coming for her in a few hours. About 3 hours later my nonna passed. Not a day goes by when we dont talk about her and although we know shes at peace and happy with my grandpa we miss her so much. Shes now in heaven with her Alfredo the love of her life since she was a young her. It hasnt been a good week with Lindseys birthday and the anniversary of my nonnas passing. I had a long conversation about this with Lindsey when I returned back to work. I wonder if they know each other now in heaven.
