I gurgled, as I walked out of the store. where is India heading to? how far apart are we moving away from our culinary traditions etc. etc crossed my mind. could you tell me the hindi version of asafoetida powder! my desperate last-ditch attempt flew out of my mobile as a text to a friend Hing came back as a four-letter solution to my problem of life I walked bravely into another kirana store, asked for the four-letter hindi version of asafoetida powder, paid the money, shoved the red packet of Ramdev brand of my four-letter nemesis and cursed myself using a popular four-letter word - this time in english. losing touch with hindi or geriatric amnesia or both!
