according to a wall street journal report, Army struck a deal with PML-N which give control to Pak Army for dictating the foreign policy of the country especially on India, Afghan & US as well as release for President Musharraf (although PML-N failed to convict him to this day despite their personal Judiciary) while offering support for the continuity of Nawaz Sharifs term as prime minister. The deal, if true, clearly means that PM would be nothing but a ceremonial position. And if NS survives this situation, his governments moral, ethical and legal credibility will be severely challenged and it may not be able to function anyways. And it means one more thing, NS aint going anywhere. TUQ wanted a coup right from the start. #Imran should have stayed away from him as he did in 2013 before elections (a wise decision back then) even if the TUQs demands were spot on. So should IK step back from here? Im not sure, but he could instead not move ahead. Proceeding from here is fruitless and it could worsen the situation. Army will delay coup to as long as they can. IK could use that cushion and stay where he is and continue protesting in a peaceful manner & by staying away from TUQ. It would not result in NS resignation but it could build enough pressure to weaken his position. And historically PML-N always loses the wait n see game.
