#admin rajiv.ì@$ Heavy rains, hailstorm destroy crops in Kupwara September 16: Heavy rains coupled with hailstorm destroyed agricultural and horticultural crops in many villages in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday evening. According to preliminary estimates thousands of acres of paddy crop has been severely damaged. The villages where the crops were devastated include Batergam,Trehgam, Gulgam, Awoora , Halmatpora, Villigam Hayhama, Manigah, Batpora, Trumbnaad, and Shatpora. Reports of hailstorm were also received from Dudwan Kupwara town, Negri, Hatmullah, Gushe, Bohipora, Mugalpora and other adjacent areas. “Hailstorm with hailstones, weighing about 20 to 30 grams continued up to 15 minutes, severely damaging paddy fields and other horticulture crops including walnut, pear, apple as well as vegetables.
