after seeing Kenneth Parks post, I took a couple friends to Guilty Pleasure. I didnt take pictures of anything but the place itself is quite the pleasant surprise. Entrance is shrouded in construction next door, feels like its gonna be a basement but they have a nice outdoor patio and the interior is a step up from most Itaewon spots. The menu has stuff on it you dont find anywhere else, like cuban sandwiches, shrimp n grits, duck confit poutine, and something called meatball lollipops (?) and then some other things you will find elsewhere like pulled pork + brisket, a lobster roll and mac n cheese. One friend doesnt eat meat but eats seafood so he enjoyed a (salmon?) salad. There is nothing for a strict vegetarian besides french fries. (We originally tried to go to Plant but the other guy is allergic to legumes and... yeah, lentils and peanuts and chickpeas in both their dishes last nt). The other guy got the cuban and I had a meatball sub. Mine was really really good, if a bit pricey at 15,000 if I recall. Overall the menu is reasonably priced however, from 8,000 to less than 20 for all mains except the 3/4 fried chicken and bbq plate which are above 20 and below 30 (and probably huge). And most importantly the food is good and Id go back. Worth checking out.
