ajority of Christians who have views about this issue tend to follow the emergence of antichrist teaching, which proclaims that the end time antichrist will be a future person who will rise up to a leadership position, say within the European Union. Someone who will be openly opposed to Christ Jesus. Many even take the left behind books to be truth! Part of the problem, apart from people not studying the Bible for themselves, is because of the actual word ANTI-christ. They believe this means it will be someone who is openly opposed to Christ Jesus. But they miss an important fact about this word. In the original language, the word anti in antichrist can also mean IN PLACE OF. So we are not looking for someone who is openly opposed to Christ Jesus, like a secular leader. No, we are looking for someone, according to this definition, who will put himself IN PLACE OF Christ on earth. Lets further strengthen this point. In 2 Thessalonians 2:3, Paul talks about the falling away that would happen within the church and the man of sin who would be revealed. Now look at what Paul called that man of sin. He calls him the son of perdition. Did you know that there is only one other person in the Bible called by that name ... son of perdition? Turn to John 17:12 and you will see that Jesus is calling JUDAS that son of perdition. So what do we learn from this? We learn that the man of sin would be someone like Judas, who would deceive from WITHIN the church. Lets clarify this even more from the Bible. In 1 John 2:18-19, John quotes that the many antichrists in his day were not people who were openly opposed to Christ Jesus. No, he confirms that they WENT OUT FROM US. Meaning that they were people within the Christian church. There is no doubt that the antichrist will be found WITHIN the professing Church. Characteristics of the Little Horn Power Daniel 7:24 ...And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise. ... So the horns represent kings/kingdoms. Daniel 7:8 ...there came up among them another little horn. ... This kingdom is a little kingdom. The Vatican state is its own country. Its a little kingdom. Daniel 7:8 ...there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up. ... The Roman Catholic Church when it rose to power had three other kingdoms destroyed because they would not bow down to her authority. Those three kingdoms were the Heruli, the Vandals, and the Ostrogoths. Daniel 7:25 ...And he shall speak great words against the most High. ... The Roman Catholic Church leaders speak amazing blasphemies against God, proclaiming that the Pope and God are the same, that the Pope is Jesus Christ Himself on earth. Daniel 7:25 ...and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. ... This time period is equal to 1260 days, but in Bible prophecy a day equals a literal year (see Ezekiel 4:6 and Numbers 14:34). So this time period is actually 1260 years. The Roman Catholic Church were in power from 538AD to 1798AD. 1260 years exactly! Browne, 1733) As you will see from the little horn study, no other kingdom or institution matches the little horn like the Papal Church of Rome does. Characteristics of the Sea Beast in Revelation 13 Revelation 13:1 .....And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. ... We know from the study in Daniel that a beast in Bible prophecy is a kingdom. And this beast rises out of the sea. What does that mean? Well, the sea we are told in Revelation 17 is a symbol for peoples, nations, and tongues. So this kingdom rises up out of a populated area with different nations, people and languages. This matches Rome, the fourth kingdom of Daniel 7. Revelation 13:1,5,6 ...and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God. ... So this beast is blasphemous. We learned above that the Roman Catholic Church speaks great blasphemies. Revelation 13:5 ...and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. ... This is the same time period as the little horn. 1260 days. But as we learned in Bible prophecy a day equals a literal year. So this again is 1260 years, the time that the Roman Catholic Church had global power between 538 - 1798. Note about 1798AD: Napoleons army marched into Rome and captured the Pope, ending the reign of the Papacy. Again, confirmation of the persecution by the hands of the Roman Catholic Church during her reign, where she killed over 50 million Christians. So the Roman Catholic Church also matches the description of the sea beast of Revelation 13. Characteristics of Babylon the Great Revelation 17:1 ...I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters. ... A woman in the Bible represents a church (2 Corinthians 11:2). Water in prophecy represents peoples, nations and tongues (Rev. 17:15). So this church has a great number of people in it. The Roman Catholic Church is by far the largest denomination in the world with over 1 Billion members. Revelation 17:3 ...So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. ... This beast is the sea beast from Revelation 13. So the woman (church) is sat upon (in control of) the beast. The beast is the civil power of the Papacy supported by the nations of the world, and the woman represents the people of the church itself. So the Roman Church is in control of and directing the civil powers. Revelation 17:4 ...And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour. ... The two main colours of the Roman Catholic Church bishops and cardinals are PURPLE AND SCARLET. Revelation 17:4 ...and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls. ... The Roman Catholic Church is one of the wealthiest institutions in the world. This of course is covered up though. Revelation 17:6 ...And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. ... Again we have the persecution of the saints by the hands of the Roman Catholic Church. Please note that the estimate of 50 million Christians slain by the Roman Church is a very conservative one. Revelation 17:9 ...The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. ... The Vatican is based in Rome. Rome was known as the city of seven hills (mounts). Revelation 17:18 ...And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth. ... There is only one religious institution that reigns over the kings of the earth, and that is the Roman Catholic Church. As you can see, the Roman Catholic Church also matches the description of Babylon the Great. Roman Catholic Church is Antichrist The end time antichrist system is the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH. No other kingdom or institution fits the above characteristics perfectly the way the Roman Catholic Church does. The great Protestant reformation revealed this fact. And the Bible supports it too. If you are part of this Church then I would lovingly ask you to study the above, find out the truth and come out of her. God is calling His people out, so that they do not share in her sins and punishment.
