alan-michael-llc/untitled.html How bad are these State of Alaska reports? --- Let me put this into understandable terms: Newtok people should have: (1) Worked the entire 2012 Construction Season (2) Worked the entire 2013 Construction Season (3) The Mertarvik Site would have has a substantially completed MEC The Mertarvik Evacuation Center would have been substantially complete: With the work crews involved in the interior work during the 2013 winter season. The setback for the community of Newtok has been and continues to be DEVASTATING! To have the State of Alaska derailed from the process was a complete mistake! It wasnt what the community of Newtok deserved or wanted to happen and the process to side track the Newtok VIllage, through the Council was wrong! I have had previous experience with George Owletuck and he presented a scenario of utilizing Structural Insulated Panels to build facilities in rural Alaska. This was years before we learned of what was happening at Newtok. What happened at Newtok to the Newtok NTC was CRIMINAL! It is simple Collusion and corruption and it has resulted in placing the Newtok Village into a very compromised position with the State of Alaska and Federal funding agencies. The Newtok Village belongs to the Tribal member of the Newtok. They are a federally recognized tribe with substantial powers to safeguard the welfare of their membership. The NTC is not a private organization to be used for personal gain. The Newtok Village selected a dedicated group of people to guide them out of the corruption, collusion and back to a secure, functioning government with the health and welfare of the members as their primary responsibility to manage for the Tribe. We have secured the agreement of our company to support the Tribe in their efforts to regain their administrative foundation and begin taking on this important responsibility for the members. Our small company has provided payroll for minor projects to get the administrative functions located in adequate office space. We are prepared to continue investing into Newtok if it necessary to keep the Newtok NTC Council responsive to the needs of the community. We expect the Newtok NTC to overcome the challenges it faces and to begin operations in earnest at the Armory. This space is essential to plan and administer and partner with the State and Federal agencies to move our -- Yes, we have family in the Newtok Village... so Our families to a new and safe site. ...Newtok should have had a thriving MEC today! Accountability, oversight and now We want Justice!
