all animal charities are battling through the second kitten - TopicsExpress

all animal charities are battling through the second kitten litters that have been born, unfortunately there are not enough homes for all the kittens born. there will be a third kitten season after the next 2 months, these kittens will be born in bad weather and even fewer homes to give them as most people who can take a kitten is doing so now. it is really important to get as many cats neutered as possible in the next month. cats finishing weaning there kittens can get pregnant again. any cat neutered now can stop maybe 3 kittens born to very uncertain futures. if you are kind enough to feed a feral or stray cat then contact your vet to get the cat neutered. please remember if you feed you are responsible for that cat you have adopted that cat or more than likely the cat has adopted you, so take the next step , bring the cat to the vet, pay for its neutering, if you really cant afford to do so contact your local animal charity and give a donation to help cover some of the cost of neutering. they will trap the cat if it is too wild for handling as feral cats can have had bad experiences from cruel people. if you feed a feral or wild cat and do nothing else you are helping the cat in the short term , but in the long term you will be building up problems for that cat and its descendants in the future. the ASPCA will be none stop neutering for the next 2 months. if you want to help us help the cats, please donate even a few euros into the ASPCA accounts in at Shannon Vets or Athlone Vet clinic
