all of this hubbub about not having the same insurance plan is simply this. Under the affordable care act there are essentials that must be included in every plan or in other words comprehensive health coverage and it must be uniform. The plans that are sold individually on line for the most part cover very little, mainly 1 Dr visit and Hospital visits are hardly covered at all. I personally have looked into these plans for a family member with type 1 diabetes and did not buy one since there was no coverage and pre existing conditions were not covered. Insurance companies under the affordable care act can no longer choose and pick what they will cover. So when you dig in their profits they are trying to drop people even though the act grandfathered most of them.
