all sins are rooted in animal behavior. even the concept of property comes from animal behavior. in animals, these behaviors are eminently natural and expected. when a male lion kills an alpha male and takes his pride, he will kill all the young male sons of the previous alpha. this is not evil. it is natural. but we are conscious, we have the knowledge of what is good and what is evil, and as such, when we do the same things the lion did, we are evil. sin is not a checklist that some scorekeeper, some north pole santa, is jotting on constantly. sin is a list of the actions and drives with which you can destroy yourself, your family and your community. there are no rules, there are only consequences, and any set of rules made by man is attempting to describe the actions that will lead you into consequences, and even set up consequences that will either control the outbreak, by killing you, the source, or by disciplining you publicly. ie they are there for the protection of everyone, as a whole. however, the world, the community, the families that we live in now, the individuals that we are now are very different than they were at the time of the law. our world has been given over to our own creation. starting with money, then usury, then market economies, all of these things are our own creations to further our animal behaviors. to make our control of our property more complete. these things were against god to begin with, and never changed, but we didnt and dont care, and continue to call ourselves gods, even though we are given over to the gold bull we have created. what we have done isnt against gods rules. we just have to face the consequences of our actions. im not sure well have another chance on this earth.
